2. Why can’t I operate the phone using the keyboard and mouse of the PC although ScreenOnPC is running?
Please see answers for question 3, 4 and 5.

3. How to enable Accessibility Service?
Accessibility Service on the phone must be enabled in order to operate the phone using keyboard and mouse on a PC. Select “Continue” when requested to grant the Accessibility permission. Then go to “Installed Apps” -> “ScreenOnPC”. (On older devices, there is no “Installed Apps” step.) Then, toggle the switch at the top to “On”, and leave the second button unchanged.

Note: Depending on language settings, a phone may use a different term for “Accessibility”. For example, in German, it is called “Bedienungshifen_”; in Russian, it is “Специальные Возможности”; in Hindi, “सरल उपयोग (Simple Use)”; in Chinese, “无障碍(No Obstacles)“ or “辅助功能(Auxiliary Functions)”; in Japanese, “ユーザ補助(User Auxiliary)”; in Polish, “Ułatwienia Dostępu”.

4. Are there any other methods to set Accessibility Service?
Besides the method described above, there are two other ways to enter Accessibility setting user interface. One way is to firstly open the Settings of the phone. Then go to “Accessibility” -> “Installed Apps” -> “ScreenOnPC”. (On older devices, go to “Accessibility” -> “ScreenOnPC”.) Another way is to select “Accessibility” in the menu of ScreenOnPC Server app.

5. What to do if Accessibility Service stopped working?
Occasionally, Accessibility Service might have not been stopped normally when last run ended. As a result, Accessibility Service might not react to PC keyboard and mouse actions when ScreenOnPC server app is restarted later. In this situation, please 1) select “Accessibility” in the menu, or go to phone Settings -> Accessibility -> ScreenOnPC, switch the button to OFF once, 2) then switch it back to ON.

6. To perform file transfer, how to select files on the phone side?
ScreenOnPC supports file transfer between a server device and a viewer device. On the phone side, ScreenOnPC supports a built-in file selector and the system external file selector. Due to latest Android permission requirements, the built-in file selector is only available on some devices. Furthermore, when the external file selector is used, some phones do not allow selecting files from the Viewer side. In this case, file selection has to be performed on the phone side by selecting files directly on the phone screen.

10. How to enable encryption?
ScreenOnPC supports secured, encrypted connection between the server and the viewer. It uses the industry standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) 1.2 protocol. When encrypted connection mode is used, it ensures that the data remains secure, even if someone intercepts the data transmitted on the network. To enable encryption, set “Support Encryption” in the server settings, and set “Enable Encryption” in the viewer settings.
